I woke from my bread coma just to let you know that I proved my hypothesis true. You CAN make delicious, crusty sourdough bread at home. We usually buy a $5 loaf of it every weekend for sandwiches, etc. By my estimations, we can now make 6 loves, possibly more, for the price of 1 with minimal effort.
Does this entice you to try it at home?
More tomorrow . . . and thanks for all your information about kitchen scales. We do need to invest in one if I plan to make bread baking a part of our usual routine. I am thinking this one might be a good for dry ingredients. Any thoughts?
