Rough Elbows + Vaseline Review

>> Monday, July 1, 2013

Ada's vocabulary and ability to use new words in different situations continuously amazes me. We're starting to have funny fledgling toddler conversations. The kind I thought were always fabricated to make the kid look super cute or the parent cool. Thing is, I can't make this sort of stuff up!

The other day I was changing Ada's diaper before her nap. She grabbed my left elbow and, without the slightest hesitation, barked "ROUGH!" I didn't hear it correctly at first, but then she rubbed my elbow and said it again.

"Rrrrrrough!"

So, when BlogHer offered me the opportunity to try out new Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer Total Moisture®, I decided it might be well worth my while. I mean, things are BAD on the skincare front if your toddler is pointing out your sandpapery areas. I imagine all of those arm-bearing shirts aren't looking too great on me with this summer weather.

  • The stuff sprays right on and is immediately absorbed into the skin. That's the claim on the bottle, and that's exactly my experience with the product.
  • My skin feels softer right after application--even the roughest parts. The moisturizer feels lightweight, which is especially nice in this heat. I tend to forgo lotions and creams in the summer months because they feel so confining -- I HATE putting on traditional lotions because my hands just feel disgusting afterward.
  • Being that it's a, well, spray, using Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer has made it easier to moisturize every day. It's a quick part of my routine since I can put my clothes on the second I apply it to myself.
  • And Vaseline Spray & Go gets more than just the top layer of skin -- it moisturizes deeply to get the job done.  Overall, it works great and is convenient to use! I can't wait for the day when there's a smaller version so I can carry it around with me in my purse.

Whether or not Ada notices -- as she's likely moved onto critiquing other things, like my greasy third-day hair -- my once scratchy, gross elbows are now ready to bare. My knees, as you can imagine, have also had quite a transformation.

I'm thrilled with the results, and with the ease of application, I can see keeping up this routine.
