// Salt //
I feel like we're all so concerned with sugar.
But what are your thoughts on salt?

// Watch This //
(Crazy!) + (Well Done!) + (Funny/Interesting!)

// $20 Lightbox //
We were mentioned on Gizmodo! (BLUSHING!)
We're the editor's favorite Lightbox Tutorial. Have you made one?

// Bake Hard Cooked Eggs //
In time for Superbowl Sunday, Alton Brown's method
Of hard cooked eggs -- no boiled -- but baked.

// More Super(bowl) Food //
Check out this tasty roundup on Angela's site.
We're on there, ps!

My new blog obsession. Seriously.
The photos are good enough to eat.

 // DIY "Vintage" Cutting Board //
Fun project with full, detailed instructions.
Might have to try it for myself!

// Another Reason to go Vegetarian //
Study featured in this article on Huffington Post
shows vegetarians "less likely to die or be hospitalized for heart disease."

// Unexpected Purchases //
We have to buy a new-to-us car. I'm not enthused.
Thinking of going with a Ford Focus or Hyundai Elantra. Suggestions? Sympathy?

// Valentine's Day //
Yeah. It's one of those holidays. Made up, apparently.
But it's a nice splash of color in the dead of winter. I'll take it!

The dream of the 1890s is alive at our house.
(Just don't take away my iPad + Netflix + heater.)

Another Friday!

Just toss beans, veggies, tomatoes, both, and spices into the pot.
Cook on high for several hours. Can't go wrong.

 // Stashing $$$ //
A relatively pain-free way to save a bit each week.
Almost $1,400/year. What to do with all that cash?

// Where the Magic Happens //
Our "master" bedroom needs an overhaul. Badly.
These spaces look calm + pretty.

// Pom Pretty Garland //
OK. I'm obsessed with poms. Evidenced here.
This project is cute, too.

// Who's Got GREEN Juice? //
Not us, unfortunately. Juicer arrived broken!
This recipe uses a blender. Photos are my favorite OFALLTIME.

// Free Kindness //
It's always good to remember stuff like this.
The best things in life really are free.

// Treat Yourself //
A roundup of some pretty things.
And more proof I'm obsessed with lip balm.

// Goblet Squats //
 Are killer. Goal: 50/day.
Just for kicks. In the shower of all places.

// This week in Food //
Lately I can't feast my eyes on enough sandwich cookies.
Chocolate cakes and canned champagne, too.

// Chicago's Hidden Farms //
"Urban agriculture is sometimes thought of as new and trendy
. . .  but people have been growing food in backyards for generations."

Here's what you may have missed this week on Writing Chapter Three:

What's new and exciting with you? I got bangs, by the way. Cost me $8 at the mall and worth every penny. I always cut them myself, but it was nice to have them properly shaped for once in my life.

Cue selfie.

See any good movies lately? I need suggestions!

Rocking my world this weekend . . .

// These photos //
Of Ada + Stephen under a wrinkly bed sheet.
They are my new favorites.

Which until last week I thought was called Downt.o.w.n Abbey.
That grand old place is definitely not downtown by any stretch of the imagination.

// This lovely kitchen //
It reminds me of my own.
Or, rather, what it want ours to look like when all is said and done.

I have several weddings to attend in the spring and summer.
I'm on the hunt for a fun frock.

// Naturally Ella //
I'm new to her site.
But holy deliciousness + great photography.

I was obsessed in college and somehow am again 10 years later.
I drink it cold despite the chilly weather.

// Yes or No? BANGS //
Fact: I've had serious bangs 7 out of the last 10 years.
I love this hair style + might consider a chop again.

// In Utero by Nirvana //
Stephen bought the newest 180 gram vinyl version of this old favorite.
 Can't stop won't stop listening to it.

// A "Real" Runner //
Are you worried about being a "real" runner?
The importance of "forming a positive internal dialogue."

There are times when you realize that all your house is missing
. . . is a fake moose head.
